Allegria Village, a vibrant senior living community in Dearborn, is currently hiring a Part-Time Shuttle Bus Driver to join our transportation team. This is an on-call position with weekend availability required.

We are specifically looking for candidates with experience transporting seniors or individuals with mobility needs. A valid Michigan Chauffeur’s License is required. This is not a delivery or freight driving role.

About the Role:
You’ll play a key part in ensuring our residents travel safely and comfortably to their medical appointments and recreational outings. You must be confident operating a wheelchair lift and assisting passengers in and out of the vehicle with care and professionalism.

What You’ll Do:

  • Safely transport residents to and from doctor’s appointments, shopping trips, and social outings (e.g., casino trips)

  • Assist residents with getting on and off the vehicle, including operation of the wheelchair lift (prior experience is a strong plus)

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles before and after use

  • Keep accurate logs of vehicle usage and report mechanical issues or driver-related incidents promptly

  • Coordinate vehicle availability and scheduling as needed

  • Deliver warm, respectful, and attentive service to all residents.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Chauffeur’s License and Driver’s License (required)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience transporting seniors, people with disabilities, or in a similar role

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Comfortable assisting with walkers, wheelchairs, and personal belongings

  • Reliable, patient and professional demeanor
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail

Preferred:

  • Experience driving shuttle buses or passenger vans in a senior living or healthcare setting

  • Familiarity with mobility assistance equipment
