Our mission is to provide personalized, high-quality eye care in a welcoming and professional setting. We’re expanding and looking for Patient Account Representatives to join our front office team.

Job Summary

The Patient Account Representative plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities include appointment scheduling, insurance verification, billing support, and general administrative duties.

This is a great opportunity for individuals with a background in healthcare, front office operations, or customer service who are looking to grow within a supportive and stable practice.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments
  • Greet patients and provide front-desk support
  • Communicate clearly via phone, email, and in person
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at time of service
  • Maintain accurate patient records and billing information
  • Answer questions related to insurance and billing
  • Coordinate follow-up appointments and outpatient services
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy
  • Support the daily workflow of the front office team

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Experience in medical, dental, vision, or administrative support roles (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of insurance, billing, or healthcare scheduling (preferred)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to use computers and learn new software
  • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a team-based workplace

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Saturdays (8 a.m. - 1 p.m.) are required for all staff
  • Closed on major holidays

Experience:

  • Customer service: 2+ years (Preferred)
  • Optical/ Ophthalmology: 1+year (Preferred)
  • Sales: 1+ year (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
