Medical Assistant:
Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Medical Assistants or Nurses to join our team on a per diem basis for onsite vaccine clinics. The ideal candidate will assist in administering vaccinations, providing patient care, and supporting clinic operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer vaccines to patients following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain vaccination stations, ensuring proper sterilization and organization.
- Conduct patient intake, including verifying medical history and documenting consent.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking vaccine supplies and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient experiences.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
- Document patient interactions and vaccine administration accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
Medical Assistant
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in a vaccine or primary care setting.
Registered Nurse:
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in public health or outpatient settings.
- Strong knowledge of vaccine administration protocols and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with EHR systems and basic computer skills.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
Work Environment
- Per diem schedule with flexible hours, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends based on clinic needs.
- Travel to various clinic locations within the region may be required.
- Fast-paced setting with a focus on patient care and operational efficiency.
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 12 per week
