Pharmacy Assistant

I. Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Assistant supports the licensed pharmacist in ensuring efficient and accurate daily operations of the pharmacy. This role involves performing clerical and administrative duties such as answering phone calls, managing sales transactions, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The Pharmacy Assistant plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.

II. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in inventory management of medications and pharmaceutical supplies
• Process point-of-sale (POS) transactions for medications and supplies
• Refer all prescription, medication, or health-related inquiries to the licensed pharmacist
• Answer incoming phone calls and handle basic client inquiries professionally
• Restock and organize pharmacy shelves and storage areas
• Accurately type and print prescription labels
• Monitor and respond to emails and fax messages promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
• Provide support to the pharmacist and the healthcare team as needed

III. Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related medical/healthcare field
• Fresh graduates and those without a license are welcome to apply
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or clinical setting is a plus but not required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities
• Team player and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
