Plasterboard Fixer/ Construction Labourers

Rd Fixers Limited is seeking a reliable and hard-working Plasterboard Fixer / Construction Labourers to support ongoing residential and commercial projects. The role involves physically demanding work and requires a high level of commitment. Duties include:

• Measuring, cutting, and installing plasterboard sheets.
• Assisting tradespeople with a range of construction tasks.
• Safe operation of hand and power tools.
• Lifting, carrying, and positioning building materials.
• Following all health & safety procedures and instructions from supervisors.

Skills, Experience, and Requirements:

• No formal qualifications are required.

• Prior experience in construction or labouring is preferred but NOT mandatory.

• Must be physically fit and able to carry out manual labour safely.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to follow instructions.

• Must be available to work weekends and commit to long hours when required to meet project deadlines.

• Some work may be outside Christchurch. Applicant must be willing to travel and stay away from home for 1–2 nights when required.

• Must be genuinely motivated to work in the construction industry and committed to learning on the job.

Training Provided:

Rd Fixers Limited will provide full on-the-job training, including:

• Health & Safety site induction.

• Training in plasterboard fixing methods and safe tool use.

• Ongoing supervision and skill development to meet New Zealand building and safety standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.50 – $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
