Plate Roller Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Plate Roller Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating plate rolling machines to bend and shape metal plates according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate plate rolling machines to form metal plates into cylindrical or conical shapes.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet dimensional tolerances and specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings to accommodate different materials and thicknesses.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Utilize overhead cranes to safely load and position various sizes of metal plates onto the rolling machine
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years working experience
  • 3+ years Material Handling Experience
  • Must have ability to utilize overhead cranes
  • 3+ years of Quality Control - dimensional tolerances and specifications
  • Ability to ready and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Previous experience operating plate rolling or similar metal forming equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
  • Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, tape measures).
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with both Manual and CNC-controlled rolling machines.
  • Knowledge of different metals and their properties.
  • Forklift certification or experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to noise, heat, and heavy machinery.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
