Process Technician

About the role

We are seeking experienced Process Operators who are available to start from December to join our Blending and Canning team on a Fixed term Contract until the end of March.

Whether you’ve got years under your belt or just a couple of years' experience in dairy or food manufacturing, we want to hear from you. If you’re mechanically minded, safety-focused and ready to work with cutting-edge equipment, this is your chance to be part of Doing Milk Differently.

What You’ll Do

You’ll operate highly automated equipment to transform milk and ingredients into premium nutrition products. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Dispensing ingredients, mixing, tipping, and batch preparation

  • In-process testing and quality control checks

  • Intrusive cleaning and sanitation of processing equipment

  • Operate sophisticated automated equipment in a dairy manufacturing process

  • Perform product quality checks to minimise losses and boost line efficiency

  • Uphold high safety and quality standards within the manufacturing environment

  • Collaborate within a high-performing team to achieve production goals

What we offer:

  • Competitive pay: $28.85 or based on experience
  • Work-life balance – enjoy a rotating roster of 2 days, 2 nights, followed by 4 days off (12.5-hour shifts).
  • Sustainable values – we’re proud to be B Corp™ certified.
  • Community & connection – join our active Social Club.

This is a fixed term role from mid-December to the end of March. Our roster pattern consists of four rotational shifts 2 day – 2 night and 4 days off, operating Monday to Sunday, with each shift running for 12.5 hours. The roster pattern is subject to change based on operational requirements.

You must be available to work all four shifts on the rotating roster. Morning Shift – 05:45 AM to 06:15 PM and Night Shift - 05:45 PM to 6:15 AM.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for operators who can hit the ground running or are eager to grow with the right support. You might be a senior operator with deep knowledge of dairy/food production or an experienced operator ready to step into a more advanced role.

You must be available for the full length of the fixed term contract until the end of March.

To thrive in this role, you'll have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in food/dairy manufacturing (preferred)
  • Mechanical aptitude to understand and operate our equipment
  • Problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Thorough with good attention to detail
  • A proactive attitude and solid communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg and work 12.5-hour shifts (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)
