Procurement & Stock Coordinator - Food Manufacturing

We are a Melbourne-based food manufacturer producing a wide range of fresh ready-to-eat meals and food products for retail and wholesale customers across Victoria.

Operating from a modern, HACCP-certified facility in Clayton South, our team prides itself on quality, consistency, and innovation in large-scale food production.

We are looking for an organised and hands-on Procurement & Stock Coordinator to manage all day-to-day stock control and purchasing within our production facility.

About the Role

This role is responsible for overseeing all ingredient, packaging, and inventory management.

You’ll work closely with the kitchen, packing, and dispatch teams to make sure materials are ordered, received, and stored correctly — keeping production running smoothly every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Check stock levels daily across all storage areas (chilled, frozen, and dry goods).
• Place supplier orders on behalf of departments, consolidating requests and tracking deliveries.
• Receive deliveries, verify quantities, temperatures, and expiry dates.
• Put stock away and ensure correct rotation using FIFO.
• Update stock records in Excel or Zoho Books and maintain accurate supplier details.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, short deliveries, and price updates.
• Prepare short daily stock summaries and assist with weekly cycle counts.
• Work with production to ensure ingredient and packaging availability for scheduled runs.

About You

• Experience in inventory, procurement, or warehouse coordination (ideally within food or FMCG).
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to assist with receiving and storage.
• Good communication skills and reliability.
• Comfortable working in a chilled food manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer literacy (Excel, email, data entry; Zoho experience beneficial).
