Your role and responsibilities

The medium voltage switchgear factory in Skien Norway develops and produces ring main units (RMU), compact switchgear (CSG) used in electrical distribution network (12-36kV). The product management team plays an important role in optimizing the product position across product life cycle. The team will drive activities for SafeRing and SafePlus product portfolio in cooperation with the local and global product management team. The product management team will support business results by overseeing all steps in the product, system or service life cycle including development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. Product specialist reports to the Local Product Manager. Responsibilities: • Support customers and colleagues with technical and application know-how and assists in the resolution of customer and product related issues. • Collaborates with internal teams (i.e. manufacturing, quality, engineering, technology center, sales, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction. • Support and implement new tasks and changes in digital offering tools. • Prepare improvements and descriptions for manual, presentations, technical documents etc. • Tendering support and identify requests of new features or components. • Identify, assign and follow up product related improvement and contribute to bringing these ideas to completion. • Prepares various technical or economic analyses by own and competitors’ product. • Collaborate with internal teams to share data as needed. • Creates together with Product Management team external and internal product training modules and programs.
Qualifications for the role
- University degree (Bachelor) / Technical College (electrical or relevant).
- It is beneficial with experience within MV Switchgears or Automation.
- Relevant experience is valued and may compensate for the lack of formal education.
- Fluency in both Norwegian and English (verbal and written).
