Production Manager
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and direction on the manufacturing side of our operations. This position supports the organization’s Vision, Mission and Values. At a Plant Leadership level, this position leads the Production function and is responsible for oversight and execution of the plant’s manufacturing priorities of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Performance.
What does a Production Manager do?
- Lead the process on the plant manufacturing floor to achieve a “Zero Incident” safety level at the facility.
- This role is responsible for daily supervision of a team of Supervisors on multiple shifts. To include: Supervisors, Team Leaders, Material Handlers, Grinders and Team Members.
- Responsible for the leadership of the production team to meet or exceed the approved budget and manufacturing performance expectations.
- Owner of production excellence in the areas of daily performance, daily quality, continuous improvement, corporate system compliance, employee talent and performance management, including the planning and execution of these elements.
- Create, own and updates the Plant Leadership Team on daily, weekly and monthly production metrics and drive the Production Team to support organizational strategic plans and associated KPIs.
- Support IATF, ISO 14001 and legal compliance at the facility and ensure compliance with corporate policies which pertain to Production.
- Manage responsibility of key production labor and employee relations activities at the facility.
- Support the Plant Leadership Team, Managers, and Supervisors in effectively communicating the values and priorities of the organization. Ensure key messages and performance expectations are understood.
- Manage annual performance assessment for the Supervisory Team.
- Ensure the development and maintenance of up to date job descriptions for Production roles.
- Promote and become actively involved in organizational events in support of local communities and employee engagement/recognition objectives.
- Drive a LEAN transformational culture within the facility
- Provide visible leadership across the plant.
- Other duties as required
What you bring to the table
- 2 – 4 year college/university diploma/degree program in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other related equivalent.
- 5 – 10 years of Supervisory/Managerial experience in an automotive manufacturing environment (preferably in the plastics industry).
- Knowledge of ESA and OHSA.
- Knowledge of automotive quality systems – TS16949/ISO14001, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA
- Knowledge of Production and Manufacturing functions. Lean Training and Implementation.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and implementation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Use of statistical data / analysis / performance metrics
Salary Range:
- $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 (Salary is dependent on experience)
Previous experience is required, but we are open to individuals with previous transferable skills such as: Production Manager, Operational Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Supervisor, Operational Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, etc…

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- Production Supervisor/Management: 5 years (preferred)
- Lean Manufacturing: 3 years (preferred)
