Professional House Cleaner (Residential And/Or Commercial)

Bright Oak Home Services is hiring experienced house cleaners to serve residential clients across the Triangle area, including Raleigh, Durham, Wake Forest, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Clayton, Garner, Knightdale, Fuquay-Varina, and nearby cities.

We are a locally owned cleaning company — not a franchise — and we operate differently than most cleaning companies. Our contractors earn strong weekly pay, maintain full flexibility, and work schedules that fit their lives. Many of our cleaners earn $800–$1,200+ per week including tips, depending on availability and performance.

This role is best suited for cleaners who take pride in their work, value consistency without micromanagement, and prefer working independently.

How it works
You choose your availability through our mobile scheduling system and only receive jobs that match when and where you want to work. Want to work a few days per week? No problem. Looking for full-time volume? We can support that too. Your schedule is built around your availability.

As you consistently deliver great work, clients will begin requesting you on a recurring basis. Over time, many of our cleaners build steady schedules with clients they already know and trust, which also tends to result in higher tips and smoother workdays.

Bright Oak Home Services handles all marketing, estimates, booking, customer communication, and payments. You focus on delivering high-quality cleaning. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not an employee position.

Already have your own clients? That’s fine — work with us in addition to your current cleaning business. Clean with a partner or teammate? Also fine — we can schedule you together.

Start timeline
Start date is flexible. Interviews and background screening typically take 7–10 days to complete.

Typical responsibilities

• Routine, deep, and move-in/move-out residential cleanings
• Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, glass, and high-touch surfaces
• Managing time efficiently and working independently

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of paid residential cleaning experience
• Conversational English required
• Reliable transportation
• Your own cleaning supplies and equipment
• General Liability Insurance (or willingness to obtain it — fast and affordable, approximately $40/month)
