Description
Under limited supervision, promotes the implementation of traffic signal improvements through hands on interaction and intervention with consultants, contractors, staff, and management, including close coordination with administration to actively seek improvement and enhancement of current processes and procedures.
- Candidates who meet the minimum requirements should expect to start at the minimum of the pay band.
- Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description.

Minimum Qualifications
A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Additional Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with subordinates, superiors, and the general public.
Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of traffic engineering, as well as production methods, supervisory and administrative practices.
Considerable knowledge of design practices and standards for design of traffic signals, fiber infrastructure and ITS/ATMS devices.
Extensive knowledge of the national and state transportation standards, AASHTO, MUTCD, and ITE guidelines.
Complete working knowledge of and proficient use of computer aided tools.
Ability to read and comprehend plans as well as generate technical drawings, spreadsheets, reports and other documents as deemed necessary.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
