Project Estimator

This is for an entry level Estimator, with room for advancement.

Summary: Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Data entry of product data into Measure Square
• Solicit vendors for material pricing and sub-contractors for labor pricing.
• Prepare As-Builts and Installer Drawings.
• Create detailed and concise RFIs, often generated brief notes by estimators.
• Print pertinent project drawings and specifications as necessary.
• Monitor and update current vendor price lists.
• Communicate effectively with project managers/customers in a timely and professional manner, via email, phone and in person.
• Ability to organize multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
• Track current scope of multiple projects via Change Orders, ASIs & RFIs by communicating with General Contractors / Architects and Sales Associates.
• Generate spread sheets and documents that compile information to assist within the estimating department.

Education/Experience:

Should have familiarity and experience with CAD programs, and their use within a construction field.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
