Job Description


We are currently looking for a Project Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing site in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork. ( Day shift role).

The Project Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities related to assigned projects. This role supports project execution by ensuring equipment, systems, and facilities operate efficiently, safely, and according to project schedules and quality standards.

Role & Responsibilities

Carry out tasks assigned in a timely and effective manner

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and/or systems related to project activities
  • Install, modify, and commission equipment and systems as part of new or ongoing projects
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and system malfunctions; identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Support project teams during planning, execution, and close-out phases
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and work orders
  • Ensure maintenance work complies with safety regulations, company standards, and project requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other technical teams as required
  • Assist in testing, inspections, and system handovers
  • Identify improvement opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and project efficiency
  • Support FATs/SATS and commissioning works
  • All other maintenance related requests

Procurement and spare stock

  • Identify and maintain spare parts and tools, to ensure timely maintenance of plant & equipment

Procedures and Training

  • Prepare and update assigned SOPs.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Engineering department SOPs and those of other departments as relevant.

Apply Problem Solving Skills

  • To Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunction
  • To take a lead role in maintaining plant power supply and distribution.
  • Become familiar with plant electrical/Mechanical supply and distribution
  • Become familiar with all process and utility equipment

Qualifications
  • Craft Qualification in electrical or mechanical trades
  • 2 - 3 Years experience in pharmaceutical industry or equivalent
  • English Fluent written & oral.
