Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Alignment
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies, national development priorities, and partnership standards.
- Formulate detailed annual work plans that clearly define project objectives, activities, timelines, and milestones, incorporating stakeholder input and technical guidance.
- Oversee budget assessments and program design to ensure quality, feasibility, and alignment with expected outcomes.
- Monitor implementation progress through systematic tracking, regular reporting, and evaluation to support continuous improvement and adaptation.
- Facilitate coordination among internal teams, government partners, and other stakeholders to promote effective communication and decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of annual operational and strategic plans, ensuring consistency across all project activities.
- Simplify and streamline processes in collaboration with field teams, technical experts, and sectoral leads to enhance prioritization and efficient execution of activities.
- Ensure that planning efforts support the achievement of sustainable project impacts and organizational goals.
Programming and Integration
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of transformational development, local ownership, local partnering including biblical foundations and strongly advocates for WVs child focused ministry
- Ensure coordination, address critical bottlenecks in programme implementation between technical and field implementation teams
- Ensure highest standards of quality and accountability for effective ministry to all key stakeholders including strong evidence-based reports and compliance with WV partnership and humanitarian industry standards
- Support in monitoring the effective and efficient technical program budget utilization that aligns with Partnership standards that will help maximize impact of our ministry
- Conduct regular reviews and analysis of the technical program’s progress towards targets. This will help in the immediate actions and decisions that are data driven and accurate
- Maintain collaborative and collegial working relationship with global and regional WV counterparts and support offices to ensure partnership priorities are integrated in programming
Stakeholder Engagement and Management:
- Together with technical and sector leads, builds new and strengthen existing relationships within WVDF and all possible internal, including SOs and global partnerships
- Manage key WVDF stakeholders’ engagement which include mapping, prioritizations, delegation and documentation of those engaging with stakeholders between field implementation and ministry teams Liaise with partners, local government institutions, civil society organizations, private sector companies and other stakeholders to coordinate activities and facilitate monitoring and reporting of project objectives and achievements;
- Oversee the implementation of Overall projects activities, including provision of technical guidance.
- Close coordination and collaboration with government agencies/ departments for resources, positioning, and program alignment and quality
Local Partnering Management
- Work with GAM and Finance Manager in potential partner scoping and mapping for financial partnering.
- Work with Operation Director in reviewing partners’ performance for effective and efficient delivery of partnering/grant agreements.
- Provide technical inputs on capacity building of existing local partners.
Partnering for Performance and Team Culture
- Ensure that staff capacity is regularly reviewed and appropriate capacity-building initiatives are identified and implemented.
- Cultivate a high-performance team by establishing clear performance agreements, conducting regular reviews, and inspiring motivation for outstanding performance, while nurturing ongoing growth and development.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to elevate their skills and expertise.
