Experienced Property Maintenance Technician required

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Property Maintenance Technician.

The ideal candidate will have general building experience with the ability to lead jobs on renovation works in private homes, large scale residential developments and commercial projects.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Candidates will be responsible for general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, equipment, grounds & carpark. Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds.

Skills:

Jobs will include carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting tasks; repairs and treats structures such as floors, showers, sinks, walls, roofs, and carpets; performs minor troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments of locks on doors; repairs door hinges; Hook up appliances; reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party & contractors for action; Helps and assists in moving furniture and equipment at various facilities/sites; exercises discretion in identifying projects that require the services of a higher skilled craftsperson; assists in obtaining quotes and arranging for services of outside vendors as needed; updates work logs for site requirements.

Responsibilities:

• General property repairs and maintenance to include painting, minor electrical and plumbing repairs and repairs to fixtures and fittings
• Undertake work orders as detailed by the client or Property agents
• Carrying out repairs in a speedy and effective manner to the highest of quality
• Sourcing materials and small items as required in a speedy manner to ensure repairs can be completed without delay
• Completing refurbishments and snagging vacant units and preparing for future occupancy
• Ad hoc duties as required
• Reporting daily to the Scheduling Manager to update on all sites with regard to work status and service repairs and communicating any additional customer requests as necessary.

Essential criteria:

• Candidates require the following:
• Valid Safe pass and valid Manual Handling Cert
• Full clean driver’s licence
