Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and resident-focused Bilingual Property Management Assistant to join our team at a brand-new high-rise residential property in Ottawa East. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for residents during the lease-up phase and beyond. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, personable, and capable of handling a wide range of tenant communications and coordination responsibilities. The chosen candidate will work very closely with the Property Manager. Please note that due to the responsibilities of this position, it is in-office only.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Coordinate scheduling for move-in dates, elevator reservations, and unit readiness.
- Distribute welcome materials and orientation information to new residents.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions and data entry into property management software such as Yardi or CMMS.
- Support administrative functions related to tenant onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Foster positive relationships with tenants to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Coordinate with building staff for unit access, deliveries, and common area activities.
- Help monitor compliance with building rules and regulations.
- Help the property manager with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual (French/English) to meet the needs of our tenants.
- 1–3 years of experience in property management, residential leasing, hospitality, operations or a similar role.
- Proven experience in customer relationship management and customer service roles.
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in data entry and office software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Experience with CMMS or Yardi systems is a plus but not required.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for move-ins or building events.
- Experience with new construction residential buildings is a bonus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
