About Builderz Warehouse: Builderz Warehouse (BWPro) is one of the fastest-growing distributors of interior finishes for the multifamily renovation market, with distribution centers in Phoenix and Arlington. We provide cabinets, countertops, appliances, flooring, and more to ownership groups, management companies, and contractors across the U.S. We are seeking a full-time, in-office Appliance Purchaser to manage inventory levels, supplier relationships, and purchase orders for our appliance category. This role is critical to ensure our customers receive products on time and that BWPro maintains the right balance between product availability and working capital efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Ordering
- Issue and manage purchase orders for appliances based on demand, forecasts, and inventory levels.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times with appliance vendors.
- Track order confirmations, shipments, and delivery timelines.
- Inventory & Forecasting
- Monitor appliance inventory across distribution centers.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels to minimize back orders while avoiding overstock.
- Review historical sales data, seasonal trends, and project pipelines to forecast future demand.
- Supplier & Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Resolve supplier issues related to pricing, shipping delays, damages, and shortages.
- Evaluate supplier performance and recommend changes as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with warehouse staff to coordinate inbound shipments and resolve discrepancies.
- Work closely with sales and operations to align purchasing decisions with project needs and customer demand.
- Provide visibility into appliance availability and lead times to sales teams.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, shipments, and costs.
- Track KPIs such as stockouts, backorder rates, and vendor performance.
- Provide weekly reporting on appliance inventory, order status, and spending.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management (appliance or building materials industry preferred).
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Experience working with WMS systems (Fishbowl experience a plus).
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors, operations, and sales.
