Job Title: Purchaser (East/ AWS+VB)
Job Hours: 8.30am to 6pm
Job Location: Aljunied

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure that items are delivered on time to allow production plans to be met.
• Work with the QA and warehouse department to address any part quality issues, ensuring that sustainable resolutions are implemented.
• Coordinates with other departments internally, on stock availability and delivery schedules and to maintain tight inventory control.
• Ensure stock receiving in accurate quantities and price.
• Ensure that overdue purchase orders are followed up and expedited.
• Communicate effectively with the planning team so that any material availability issues are resolved or reflected in the production schedules.
• Focus on consolidation of suppliers to maximise leverage.
• Reduce unit price and processing costs.
• Ensure that items are ordered and delivered on time to support production department.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation to achieve increased throughput and price reduction.
• Maintain the filling system of purchasing records.

Job Requirements:

• To possess minimally a Diploma or its equivalent in Purchasing/Materials/ Supply Chain Management
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
