Purchaser - Inpatient Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the sourcing, negotiation and procurement of pharmaceutical supplies in the most cost-effective manner.

• Ensure all requisitions and purchases are in alignment with company’s policies

• Ensure prompt response to urgent requisition requests and queries from users

• Creation of Purchase Orders in SAP system

• Liaise with vendors on delivery and discrepancy in Delivery Orders and Invoices

• Liaise with vendors to return and/or exchange any defective and/or expired goods

• Creation and maintenance of material codes and pricing information in SAP system

• Prepare monthly and quarterly department reports

• Source for new vendors and review vendors’ performance

• Provide administrative support to the department

Requirements

• Diploma in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Management/Biomedical Science/Logistics/Supply Chain

• Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry will be an advantage

• Applicants with Diploma/Degree but without relevant experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

• Proficient in SAP (or equivalent materials management system), MS Office Applications

• Team player with good interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Pro-active, meticulous and able to work independently
