OSM Thome is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Client's team as Purser.
General Summary
- Arrange the personnel arrivals and departures in line with the roster defined by the Management and assign the accommodation
- Support the administration of the personnel on board
- Liaise with the travel and marine agencies for the personnel logistics and travelling activities
- Where required, support the Master/OIM in the training and certificates management
Requirements (kindly upload during the application process)
- Minimum 2 years of purser experience onboard or administrative experience onshore working with a travel / offshore manning agency / Logistics / Administrative Support role
- Diploma / University qualified
Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in off-shore activity
Terms and conditions
- Location: KSA
- Position: Purser
- Contract start: to be confirmed
- Contract duration: 12 months (renewable)
- Work/leave cycle: 56/28 (56 paid working days followed by 28 unpaid leave days) or 90/30 (90 paid working days followed by 30 unpaid leave days)
- Salary: Will depend on the previous experience: starting from 2500 USD
- Working hours: 12 hours a day / 84 hours a week (12X7)
- Accommodation: On Board
- Insurances: Death & Disability + Life Insurance, Medical Insurance and Income protection provided by the company
- Flights: Provided by the Company
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage crew changes
- Update and maintain the Roster plan of personnel assigned to the vessel, in line with instructions from the vessel offshore
- management
- Plan and record the personnel arrivals and departures from Helicopter and Crew change boats for all companies on board
- Verifies the minimum documentation of personnel for pre-embarkation purposes and support in preparation of the List of Crew
- Issue Badges in line with ISPS requirements for new personnel
- Prepare daily reports on POB, shifts, muster lists, daily meals, helicopter crew lists, look-ahead for the relevant parties
- Record the attendances/absences of personnel (overtime, sickness, holidays, etc.), hours of work/rest in line with company
- procedures
- Ensure the management of cash advances, within the remits defined by the Master
- Liaise with Catering for room cleaning and meal arrangement
- Handle all lockers for personnel onboard
- Issue requests for hotel and transportation booking
- Interface with the marine agency and the Master/OIM for emigration formalities
- Where required, update the Vessel Training and Certificates matrix and liaise with relevant internal or external training/certificates departments, and the reference resource for training booking requests and certificates application, in line with vessel management instructions
