Quality And Compliance Coordinator

We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual to fill this key position in the Works Delivery Team, focusing on 3 waters activities (Water, wastewater and stormwater). This is a temporary one year fixed-term full-time position and is offered under the provisions of the Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act 1987. This role is based at the Te Rourou Building in Hawera and currently reports to the Works Delivery Manager.

About the role - To ensure our infrastructure team can meet its regulatory compliance commitments and deliver agreed levels of service, the key purpose of this position is to develop, implement and continually improve quality management and compliance systems and procedures.

This role is varied and rewarding. From health and safety, quality and compliance monitoring and on-site audits to preparing Incident, Response, and Contingency Plans, you'll be at the heart of promoting, driving, implementing and monitoring quality improvements. You'll provide expert compliance advice to contractors, partners, and volunteer groups, while building strong partnerships with stakeholders and community organisations. You'll also guide teams in identifying, mitigating, and monitoring risks across infrastructure activities.

About You - You're a proactive team player with a qualification in engineering or quality management. You bring strong computer skills, a solid understanding of legislative compliance, quality systems, emergency management, and incident investigation techniques. Experience in health & safety for infrastructure networks, resource consent processes, and implementing quality systems will set you apart.

The salary range for this position is between $77,220pa and $85,800pa and the appointed starting level will be dependent on skills and experience and will be discussed during interviews with shortlisted candidates.
