About the Position
This is a full-time office-based role with periodic on-site requirements at our Claremont or Murdoch locations as determined by business needs. Site attendance will be communicated in advance.
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised professional to join our team as a Pre-Assessment and Quality Assurance Officer. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of medicolegal reports for our independent medical assessment services. You will provide comprehensive administrative and quality assurance support to our medical specialists while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders including doctors, insurers, patients, employers, and legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Assessment and Administrative Support
- Manage pre-assessment process and report templates.
- Process and transcribe dictation from medical specialists, where required.
- Finalise medicolegal reports and supporting documentation.
- Prepare WorkCover forms and other required documentation.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and filing systems ensuring all relevant records are accurately managed in relevant systems.
- Co-ordinate report delivery to external and key stakeholders.
- Assist the Medicolegal Co-Ordinator with invoicing documentation for services.
- Support general administrative duties as required.
- Ensure sensitive information is managed appropriately and in compliance with privacy regulations.
Quality Assurance Report Management
- Review and quality assure medicolegal reports, impairment assessments and associated forms against quality frameworks, regulatory requirements, and legislative standards.
- Identify and address inaccurate, deficient, or incomplete reports by liaising with medical specialists, customers, and team members.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure effective prioritisation and delivery.
- Liaise effectively with key stakeholders including medical specialists, insurers, patients, employers, and legal professionals.
- Advise the Medicolegal Co-Ordinator, medical specialists and customers of possible delays in turnaround times.
- Escalate matters requiring intervention to the Medicolegal Co-Ordinator.
- Establish and maintain effective, robust relationships with medical specialists, customers, and team members.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Proven and demonstrated experience in managing pre-assessment, quality assurance and case management practices in a similar quality assurance role within the medical, allied health, and/or personal injury and/or accident compensation industry.
- Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills with exceptional English proficiency and proofreading skills.
- Computer literacy with competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and IT programs for patient and data management.
- Strong, pro-active team player with excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise and manage competing timeframes.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
