Quality Assurance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily QA checks on the production area to ensure baking processes follow the company’s established parameters
• Verify raw materials and packaging upon warehouse receiving to confirm they meet quality standards
• Checks the conformance of raw materials and packaging materials during warehouse receiving
• Perform routine checks on finished products to ensure they meet set specifications
• Inspect employee hygiene, uniforms, and grooming to ensure compliance with food safety standards
• Conducts random checking of bakery stores and bakery equipment’s and utensils if it complies with established sanitation standards
• Conduct regular checks on allergen control measures and verify proper product labeling
• Participate in internal audits and support the implementation of corrective actions as needed
• Conducts product shelf-life study
• Review supplier documents, including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Certificates of Analysis (COA)
• Assist in QA related training sessions and help raise awareness on Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP standards
• Ensures all Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP standards are met
• Other tasks as may be assigned

Job Requirements:

• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Keen attention to detail Must be able to provide a non-expired health certificate from Public Health.
• HS Diploma or GED required
• Must be able to lift 50lbs or more
• Prolonged periods of walking.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
