Quality Technician

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing PPAPs, conducting first article inspections/layouts, handling internal and external quality concerns, and supporting our continuous improvement efforts. If you have a strong understanding of quality standards, inspection processes, and customer requirements, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve customer quality issues and internal production problems.
  • Assist with 8D corrective action reports as required by customers.
  • Prepare and perform 100% Inspection Layouts for PPAP submissions and internal PMI product.
  • Compile documentation for PPAPs, including annual revalidations.
  • Support daily and scheduled inventory tasks.
  • Provide backup to inspectors and assist with incoming product inspections.
  • Complete labeling and product disposition tasks in IQMS.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of:
  • PPAP documentation
  • Injection molding processes
  • Quality standards and inspection tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and general computer use.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and documents.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with IQMS or similar ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with 8D and other corrective action methodologies.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and professional attitude.

Mathematical & Analytical Skills

  • Ability to work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Compute percentages, ratios, and interpret measurement graphs.
  • Solve practical problems in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, or crawling may be required.
