About the Role
Te Whatu Ora - Taranaki provides the people of Taranaki with timely access to clinical care, support and treatment. We are seeking a PA to join the Radiology team; the roles main function is to support the Head of Department and Radiology manager, their teams and services at Taranaki Base Hospital.
We are looking for someone who can use their own initiative, is organised and efficient, and able to adapt to changing priorities. Confidentiality at all times is essential. This role would suit an enthusiastic person who is currently working in an administration role and is looking to advance their career.
This is a permanent part time position (64 hours a fortnight) and is situated at Taranaki Base Hospital, New Plymouth
About You:
- Minimum of two years general administration experience: essential
- Previous experience in supporting senior managers: beneficial
- Intermediate level of technology experience: essential, e.g. Microsoft Office, Zoom / MS Teams
- Meeting and Calendar Management: essential
- Minute taking :essential
- Confident communicator who has the ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external people: essential
- Ability to comfortably work autonomously and as part of a team: essential
- Previous experience within the primary or secondary health sectors: beneficial
About the Team/Service/ Location
Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking the services of a PA to work in our department at Taranaki Base Hospital. You would be working as part of a dynamic team.
The successful applicants will have extensive healthcare experience and previous knowledge in hospital systems will be an advantage, experience in a relevant administration role would be preferred, along with a sound knowledge of medical terminology.
We are looking for applicants with outstanding communication skills and proven commitment to quality and accuracy. You must be a dedicated team player with a willingness to learn new skills.
Our busy department requires someone who has a caring nature and can react effectively in a changing environment. There is a requirement for excellent time management skills and initiative and flexibility.
