Job description
POSITION PURPOSE STATEMENT:
As part of our Office Administrative Team, the Receptionist / Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing clerical, secretarial, and administrative support to the St. John’s office to ensure office services are provided in an effective and efficient manner.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet visitors and administer office sign-in processes.
- Answer and direct incoming calls as appropriate.
- General administrative office support.
- Receive incoming mail and distribute in a timely manner.
- Travel arrangements and reservations, schedule appointments, organize meeting and book meeting rooms as requested.
- Generation, development, and maintenance of SharePoint sites (training will be given).
- Maintain office services room to ensure adequate office supplies are available at all times.
- Provide administrative & accounting support to the finance department.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
QULAIFICATION AND EDUCATION
- A certificate or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with a focus in office administration/accounting is required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrates positive attitude and flexibility in work approach.
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure with little supervision is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships at all levels.
- Shows awareness of and works well to a deadline.
- Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn and understand issues that are pertinent to the job role.
EXPERIENCE
- Requires 3 years' experience in office administration
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
