Do you want to do work that matters, alongside supportive leaders who will help you grow faster than you ever thought possible? Are you a creative problem-solver who is energized by challenges? You’ve come to the right place.
YOUR IMPACT
As the Recruiting Manager for McKinsey Canada, you will lead and manage the recruiting efforts for the firm’s Canadian locations including Montreal, Toronto and Western Canada, primarily Calgary.
Your role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of McKinsey’s Canada practice by creating and executing a strategic approach to attracting and hiring the next generation of exceptional talent.
You will focus on four key areas – strategic planning, team and process management, stakeholder management, and performance management to ensure strong results.
You will be responsible for the strategic planning of Canada's recruiting, and oversee Canada’s recruiting pipeline across all three locations, ensuring a seamless and effective process across core campus sources, EP sourcing, and inbound efforts in partnership with Canada and TA leadership. Additionally, you will develop and implement strategies to attract top-tier talent to the Canadian offices, balancing the evolving needs of the offices and ensuring a personalize candidate experience to secure the most distinctive hires.
You will also engage with top talent at core Canadian schools, aligning on processes for identifying high-potential candidates at the source level. You will direct source exceptional talent from non-core institutions and Experience Hires in the market to build a diverse and distinctive pipeline for the Canadian offices, in line with the needs of the locations.
You will also manage and coach the Canadian recruiting team of four Recruiters and one Recruiting Admin, focusing on core excellence skill development, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment, and inspiring team members. Additionally, you will build and refine recruiting infrastructure and processes, including event planning, candidate identification and evaluation, pipeline management, and reporting, to meet Canada’s hiring goals.
You will work closely with Canadian office and people leadership, as well as North American and global recruiting teams, to design and implement innovative recruiting strategies that align with the firm's priorities and best practices while addressing the specific needs of Canada. You will also develop and maintain strong network of local stakeholders to enable recruiting success (e.g., Canada and location Office Manager Partners, location Recruiting Leaders, Canadian Firm Functions leaders, and other key Partners) as well as attract and excite lower tenured consultants to get involved in recruiting efforts.
Lastly, you will oversee the recruiting budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources in line with the office’s priorities and leverage reporting to ensure execution across all phases of the recruiting funnel and sharing out with stakeholders on a regular basis to keep them informed.
Please note that there is a strong preference for you to be based in our Toronto office, but we will consider candidates in our other McKinsey Canada offices, including Calgary, Montreal and Vancouver.
