As a Regional Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing regional sales strategies to grow market share, increase revenue, and strengthen customer relationships for the Commercial Engine Services business.
This role focuses on selling MRO engine services, engine repair & overhaul solutions, module exchange programs, and associated support offerings to airlines, lessors, and aviation service providers within the assigned geographic territory.
What you’ll do:
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute a regional sales plan aligned with corporate revenue and margin objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities for engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services.
- Manage the full sales cycle including lead generation, proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
- Drive growth across targeted engine platforms (e.g., CFM56 and LEAP).
- Meet or exceed assigned annual sales and margin targets.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, lessors, asset managers, and aviation service providers.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational needs and service performance.
- Serve as the primary customer contact for commercial matters, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with internal program, engineering, and customer support teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitive offerings, and business opportunities within the region.
- Provide voice-of-customer feedback to influence product development, pricing strategy, and service improvements.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline reporting and forecasting.
Proposal & Contract Support
- Work with pricing, legal, and program management teams to develop proposals and commercial packages.
- Prepare business cases and present value-based proposals to customers.
- Lead contract negotiations ensuring alignment with company policies and financial objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal MRO shops, materials procurement, engineering, and operations to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Support marketing initiatives, trade shows, and industry events across the region.
What skills you’ll need
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience.
- Proven track record selling aviation or MRO services (commercial engine experience strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of commercial aviation engines, market cycles, and maintenance programs.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to travel up to 30–40% within the assigned region.
Preferred Background
- Experience selling engine shop visits, module repairs, engine exchanges, or material programs.
- Knowledge of key industry platforms: CFM56-7B and LEAP.
- Existing customer relationships with airlines, lessors, or asset management firms.
- Prior experience working in an MRO, OEM, or engine leasing environment.
- Ability to speak Portuguese and Spanish fluently.
