<Duties>

• Assist dentist in endodontic therapy, retreatment of endodontic therapy, apical surger, bone grafting and implant placement. This offices uses true four handed dentistry with operating microscopes, CBCT and electronic notes.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards of infection control.
• Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Manage patient records by updating medical and dental histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with medical assessments to support safe treatment planning for all patients, including pediatrics.
• Provide excellent dental reception services by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and guiding patients through their visit with professionalism and care.
• Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards; utilize medical coding knowledge for accurate documentation and billing processes.
• Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as managing medical records, processing insurance claims, and coordinating follow-up care.

<Experience>

• Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care.
• Experience operating EMR systems like Dentrix or Epic; proficiency with TDO preferred.
• Skilled in taking X-rays, performing chairside assisting during various endodontic procedures including prosthodontics and endodontics.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and medical coding to ensure accurate record-keeping.
