About the Role
We currently have two roles available - 1 x 0.6FTE permanent and 1 x 0.4FTE fixed term.
Come join us and become part of a supportive, dynamic and collaborative nursing team that delivers exceptional care to our patients across our many services.
Our day surgery Nursing team provides pre and post- operative care to patients undergoing surgical and interventional radiology procedures across many specialties and provides pre-operative care for patients having major surgery.
Hours of work:
- Monday - Friday, closed on Public Holidays
- Shifts: 0645 - 1515, 0700 - 1530, 0900 - 1730 and 1130 - 2000 with oncall 2000 - 2100.

About the Service
Our service has three adult Day Surgery Units - Day Surgery Unit, DOSA and Adult Surgical Admissions Waipapa. And one Children's Day Surgery Unit - Children's Surgical Admissions Waipapa.
About you
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a variety of surgical nursing skills and attributes to work as part of our nursing team. Working in this fast-paced environment, you will contribute positively to our innovative and dynamic multidisciplinary team whom all strive to provide quality patient care.
- Experience working with adults and children
- 3+ years Surgical Nursing experience
- Must be able to work all shifts Monday to Friday
- Flexibility to move around the 4 units
- Solution focused, adaptable, self-motivated with the ability to think on your feet, your excellent time management, and interpersonal skills, will see you thrive in this role
- Leadership or coordinator experience
- Track record in perceptoring
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
