Job Overview
Join a dynamic operating room team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Our facility handles a wide variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including ENT, ophthalmology, gynecology, orthopedic, plastic and reconstructive, gastroenterology, and pain management. With six OR beds and an average of 400 cases per month, this role provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Surgical operations are primarily Monday through Friday, with additional call rotations for nights, weekends, and holidays.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the operating room, you will play a critical role in shaping positive patient experiences while utilizing your expertise and compassionate care to impact lives every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical care.
- Implement individualized plans of care, monitoring patient status and responding appropriately to changes.
- Utilize advanced technology and evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the operating room.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire.
- “Handle With Care” training within 90 days of hire.
- At least one year of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
