Central Veterinary Hospital in Fremont, CA is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our well-established general practice team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative environment. As a Registered Veterinary Technician at Central Veterinary Hospital, you will play an integral role in patient care and client communication within our practice.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technician for technician appointments
• Perform or assist with physical exams and prescribed treatments
• Communicate treatment plans and provide clear, compassionate client education
• Monitor anesthesia and assist veterinarians during procedures as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment
• Uphold hospital standards for patient care, safety, and client service

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Venipuncture, vaccine administration, and X-ray proficiency
• IV catheter placement and endotracheal tube placement
• Dental cleaning/polishing, extractions under DVM supervision, and dental X-rays
• Wound assessment, bandaging, and splinting
• Urine collection via cystocentesis (with ultrasound)
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance
• In-house lab work and blood pressure monitoring
• Preparation of surgery packs and patient surgical prep
• Client education and post-op instructions
