Why This Role Matters
As the Marketing Coordinator, you’ll bring our brand to life through geo-targeted content and SEO-driven campaigns that resonate with homeowners in each of our markets. Your work ensures Thompson Creek remains top-of-mind, trusted, and chosen—helping us convert interest into long-lasting customer relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Build local SEO strategies using “near me” and city-level keywords to increase visibility.
- Create geo-targeted content across Reddit, TikTok, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Develop editorial calendars tied to seasonal homeowner needs and market events. (storm prep, energy efficiency, curb appeal) and local marketing events.
- Track organic traffic, rankings, AI-driven visibility, and conversion data; refine content strategies based on performance insights.
- Write high-value content like guides, cost comparisons, and installation resources optimized for search intent.
- Produce lead-generation assets (checklists, calculators, downloadable guides) to support lead capture campaigns.
- Enhance long-form content with visuals, structured data, and E-E-A-T best practices for credibility and engagement.
- Ensure consistent messaging across website, email, social, and paid campaigns in each geographic market.
- Monitor competitor content strategies and identify local content gaps using AI-powered tools.
- Conduct content audits, maintain tagging/taxonomy, and manage the internal content library.
- Manage social posting and engagement across homeowner communities, showcasing project transformations and customer testimonials while engaging with local homeowner communities in each market.
- Track KPIs (organic traffic, rankings, conversions) and optimize campaigns based on insights.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 2–4 years of content marketing experience (home improvement/construction a plus).
- Strong SEO skills (keyword research, Google Analytics, Search Console).
- Experience building geo-targeted, multi-platform campaigns.
- Proficiency with CMS tools and content operations.
- Strong project management and data-driven mindset.
- Tech-savviness, including proficiency in tools like the use of AI and automation tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier), Google Workspace, Notion, Fathom, project management platforms (e.g., Asana), video conferencing software such as Teams, and familiarity with productivity-tracking tools such as Hubstaff, which the company uses.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
- Google Ads/Analytics certifications.
- Experience in the home improvement industry.
The Details
Compensation: 12-25 USD based on experience.
Engagement: Full-time Independent Contractor, 40 hours per week.
Must be able to work in US EST hours (typically 8 am-5 pm)
Location: Remote.
No work required on U.S. public holidays.
