A future with tradition - shaping science: Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) offers a wide
range of subjects in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and medicine. The oldest and largest

university in Saxony-Anhalt was founded in 1817 from the merger of the universities in Wittenberg (1502) and

Halle (1694). Today it has 340 professors and 20,000 students. Its research focuses on material and life

sciences, the Enlightenment and social and cultural research.

At the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Natural Sciences I, Institute of Pharmacy,

Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, within the frame of the Graduate School AGRIPOLY II is seeking

to fill the temporary, until 31 December 2027, position of a

Research assistant / PhD student (m-f-d)

in filled part-time (50%) at the earliest possible date.

The salary will be according to Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L, depending on the assigned tasks and individual qual-

ifications.

Tasks:

• Design and manufacturing of biodegradable polymer-lipid based Drug Delivery Systems (DDS)

• Physicochemical characterisation of DDS

• Investigation and characterisation of drug release processes and mechanisms

• Interdisciplinary cooperation

Requirements:

• successfully completed university degree (diploma or MSc) in pharmacy or natural sciences with at least

good results

• Experience with manufacturing nanoparticles or nanocapsules

• Experience characterizing materials at nano and micro scales

• Knowledge of material properties of drug delivery systems

• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English/German

• Analytical and problem-oriented thinking

• high level of intrinsic motivation and ability to work in a team
