Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and curious Research Scientist I to join our Biology Department. The successful candidate will contribute to early-stage discovery research or mechanism-of-action studies by designing and executing cell-based and molecular biology experiments. This is a hands-on laboratory role ideal for individuals passionate about applying biology to drug discovery and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and perform in vitro assays to evaluate drug candidates (e.g., cell viability, proliferation, reporter gene assays).
- Maintain and culture mammalian cell lines under aseptic conditions.
- Conduct molecular biology techniques such as Western blotting, qPCR, ELISA, or flow cytometry.
- Analyze experimental data and interpret results in alignment with team goals.
Qualifications:Education:
- M.Sc. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related life science field.
(B.Sc. with strong laboratory experience may also be considered)
Experience:
- 0–2 years of hands-on laboratory experience (including internships or academic research).
- Prepare study reports, presentations, and maintain detailed lab notebooks.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Bioinformatics.
- Participate in team meetings, literature reviews, and contribute to experimental planning.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $33.17 - $35.00 per hour
