We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front of House staff member at the Groper Garage Bar and Restaurant . As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a memorable experience.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a warm and friendly manner.
• Manage reservations and coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Take orders , drinks, and communicate effectively with the kitchen to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
• Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area, including resetting tables and arranging the dining room as needed.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments accurately.
• Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, specials, and dietary restrictions to assist guests effectively.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety at all times.

Skills & Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not required.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
• Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.50 – $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Work Location: In person

Must have current working holiday visa or valid work visa or NZ resident/citizen

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
