Restaurant Host / Front Desk

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. You will play a crucial role in managing the flow of guests, coordinating seating arrangements, and providing exceptional customer service. Your hospitality skills will help create an inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to return.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service.
• Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host station and dining area.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, for managing reservations and guest interactions.
• Support wait staff during busy periods by helping with drink orders or clearing tables as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette when handling reservations or inquiries.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, particularly Aloha POS, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
• A passion for customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests is essential.
