About the Role
Salt on the Pier is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our venue. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences, managing bookings and venue hires, leading and training staff, and working closely with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food and service.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, customer-focused, and passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Restaurant & Service Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service and hospitality at all times
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly
Bookings & Venue Hire
- Manage all restaurant bookings, private functions, and venue hires
- Liaise with clients to coordinate events and ensure all requirements are met
- Ensure events and functions run smoothly from planning through to execution
Staff Leadership & Training
- Recruit, train, and onboard new staff members
- Lead, motivate, and support the front-of-house team
- Ensure staff are well-trained in service standards, menu knowledge, and workplace procedures
- Create rosters and manage staffing levels in line with business needs
Food & Beverage Collaboration
- Work closely with the kitchen team to introduce new specials and menu items
- Provide customer feedback and insights to support menu development
- Ensure food and beverage offerings align with Salt on the Pier’s brand and quality standards
Operational Excellence
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering where required
- Support cost control and efficiency across operations
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Experience managing bookings, events, or venue hire is highly regarded
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 – $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
