Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: SM Megamall
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead our team to success. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Japanese restaurant, with a strong understanding of Japanese cuisine, service standards, and dining culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Manage and train staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and adherence to Japanese culinary standards
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
- Control costs, manage budgets, and track financial performance
- Maintain inventory levels, including specialty Japanese ingredients
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Uphold authentic Japanese dining etiquette and service practices
- Collaborate with chefs on menu planning, seasonal offerings, and specials
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role
- Previous experience working in a Japanese restaurant is required
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, and dining culture
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Financial management and budgeting experience
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in restaurant management
- Experience in Japanese dining establishments (e.g., sushi bars, ramen shops, izakaya)
