Restaurant Team Member (Cashier And Kitchen Helper)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled cashier and kitchen helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. This role is essential in delivering high-quality customer service and meals in a fast-paced environment. This role will work collaboratively with customers and kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared to perfection and adhere to the highest standards of quality.

Duties

• Provide excellent customer service and know how to use a POS system (handling cash and card payments)
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food safety standards are met, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier and kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service periods.

Requirements

• College student at USC preferred
• Knowledge of customer food safety regulations and best practices.
• Know how to use kitchen tools, including knives and cooking equipment.
• Experience in casual dining or high-volume food service environments is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and kitchen staff.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
