Retail Security Guard (Weekends Only)

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Retail Security Guard to oversee the safety and security of our retail premises during weekends only. This part-time position is ideal for individuals with a background in security or related fields who are committed to maintaining a safe shopping environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the store, preventing loss, and responding promptly to incidents, ensuring a secure experience for staff and customers alike.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the retail store to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV to observe and record activities within the premises.
• Manage conflict situations professionally, de-escalating disputes when necessary.
• Enforce store policies related to loss prevention and security protocols.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, including medical incidents.
• Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management regarding security concerns.
• Assist in training new security personnel on store policies and surveillance procedures.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when required, providing support during investigations or emergencies.

Experience

• Prior experience in security or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV), conflict management techniques, and loss prevention strategies is beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail are essential for effective monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, customers, and emergency responders.
