Job Summary:
The Revenue accountant will help support Lexmark’s monthly closing activities as part of the Planning to Reporting team, focusing on multi-element revenue transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist monthly with the calculation and recognition of revenue related to Lexmark’s Managed Print Services (“MPS”) business.
  • Prepare revenue allocation models to correctly calculate revenue associated to multiple revenue element arrangements under new revenue accounting standards (ASC 606).
  • Assist with the preparation of necessary monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Perform other month end close activities related to MPS revenue, as necessary.
  • Assist in the performance of applicable controls related to MPS revenue.
  • Support audit requirements.
  • Assist with the system testing and validations related to Lexmark’s new revenue recognition software.

Qualified applicants must have:

  • BS Accountancy or BS Management Accounting degree and 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Intermediate GAAP knowledge, with special focus on revenue recognition and internal control principles.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP, SAP experience preferred.
  • Superior analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Focus on internal controls, systems security, data integrity and statutory requirements.
  • Good communication skills.
