Position Overview

Hospital is seeking a qualified Risk Manager to support the Risk Management & Patient Safety department. This role is essential in promoting patient safety, managing clinical risk, and supporting hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives. The Risk Manager will collaborate with clinical teams, leadership, and support staff to ensure regulatory compliance and enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate patient safety events, incidents, and near misses.
• Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) and participate in safety huddles and debriefs.
• Support ongoing risk-reduction initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate and confidential risk management documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, leadership, and the patient safety team.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Assist with policy development, safety training, and performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
• Prior hospital-based experience in Risk Management, Patient Safety, or Quality.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and healthcare safety standards.
• Exceptional communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Previous experience with incident reporting systems preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
