About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join the team at Wairoa Hospital. In this role, you will provide expert clinical care and leadership in your specialty area, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care for patients. As a Nurse Specialist, you will also play a key role in patient education, clinical assessment, and the development of care plans, helping to improve health outcomes for the Wairoa community.


You will be responsible for utilizing your advanced nursing knowledge to ensure optimal patient care and for supporting and mentoring nursing staff in providing best practice care. About you

We are seeking a Nurse Specialist with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Advanced clinical skills: Expertise in patient assessment, care planning, and treatment in your specialty area.
  • Leadership abilities: Proven experience in leading teams, providing mentorship, and facilitating continuous learning within the nursing workforce.
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Passion for patient care: A dedication to delivering patient-centered care and improving clinical outcomes through evidence-based practices.
