Job Title: Sales Associate / Cashier (Laptop Retail Store)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate / Cashier to join our retail laptop store team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting laptops and related accessories, processing sales transactions, and providing basic technical guidance. This role requires strong sales skills, excellent customer service, and foundational knowledge of laptops and PCs.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service
- Greet customers and assess their needs to recommend suitable laptops, desktops, and accessories.
- Explain product features, specifications, warranties, and pricing clearly and confidently.
- Upsell and cross-sell related products such as software, peripherals, and protection plans.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of current laptop brands, models, and promotions
- Achieve individual and team sales targets.

Cashiering Duties
- Process cash, credit/debit card, and digital payments accurately.
- Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and warranties according to store policies.
- Balance cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Maintain accurate transaction records.

Product & Store Maintenance
- Ensure products are properly displayed, labeled, and organized.
- Assist in inventory management, stock replenishment, and stock counting.
- Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and presentable.
- Stay updated on new laptop models, software updates, and technology trends.

Basic Technical Assistance
- Provide customers with basic guidance on laptop specifications (RAM, storage, processors, GPU, etc.).
- Assist customers with simple setup instructions when necessary.
- Troubleshoot minor customer concerns and escalate complex technical issues to technicians if needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- College-level education in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field (preferred)

Experience
- Preferrably with 1–2 years of experience in retail sales, specifically in electronics or computer/laptop industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience handling POS systems and cash transactions.
- Technical Knowledge

Basic Understanding of:
- Laptop/PC components (RAM, SSD/HDD, CPU, GPU)
- Operating systems (Windows, macOS)
- Common software applications (Microsoft Office, antivirus programs)
- Ability to explain technical specifications in simple terms to customers.
