Sales & Business Development Consultant — Outdoor Living
Tukwila / Greater Seattle Area (Field + Office)
Rainier Shade is a premium outdoor living company specializing in retractable screens, awnings, pergolas, and custom shade solutions for high-end residential and commercial spaces.
We are seeking a relationship-driven Sales & Business Development Consultant who can manage inbound opportunities while proactively building long-term partnerships with builders, contractors, architects, and designers.
This is not a transactional sales role — it is a consultative position focused on trust, technical understanding, and long-term relationship development.
Role Overview
This role combines:
- In-home and onsite consultations with homeowners
- Managing inbound leads and guiding clients through the sales process
- Developing and nurturing builder / contractor relationships
- Acting as a trusted advisor on outdoor living solutions
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure project success
The ideal candidate is comfortable selling premium solutions and building long-term referral pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Consultations
- Conduct onsite consultations with homeowners and project stakeholders
- Understand client goals, site conditions, and budget
- Develop solution recommendations aligned with design and performance needs
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals
- Manage pipeline and follow-up through close
Business Development / Relationships
- Build relationships with builders, contractors, architects, and designers
- Generate referral opportunities and repeat business
- Participate in networking, site visits, and industry events
- Support lunch-and-learns and partner outreach initiatives
Project Collaboration
- Coordinate with project coordination and install teams
- Ensure accurate information, measurements, and expectations
- Maintain strong client communication throughout the process
