School Cleaner (Afternoons – Term Time)

Hours: 3 afternoons per week, 3.5 hours per day (term time only)

St. Joseph’s School is a special school for children with mild General Learning Disabilities (GLD). We are currently seeking a dependable and conscientious cleaner to join our school team.

This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of cleanliness in a school setting, and approaches their role with professionalism and care.

Role Overview:

• Cleaning classrooms, toilets, corridors, and shared school areas to a high standard
• Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness are maintained consistently
• Using cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately
• Working independently while respecting the school environment

Essential Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience is required (experience in a school or similar setting is an advantage)
• A reliable, punctual, and hardworking approach
• Good attention to detail and a responsible attitude
• An understanding of the importance of safeguarding children and working in a caring environment

Additional Information:

• As this position is within a school, Garda Vetting is mandatory
• References will be required
• This is a term-time role, ideal for someone seeking part-time afternoon hours
