School Van Driver

Overview
Morning shift - 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and maintaining the vehicle in good condition.

*21+ years of age with a minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience

*Have at least 20/40 vision in each eye (with or without corrective lenses)

*Be able to recognize red, green and amber colors

*Copy of a recent physical

*Criminal history background check will be obtained through fingerprint scanning process

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a van to transport students from designated locations.
• Ensure timely arrivals and departures according to scheduled routes.
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Provide exceptional customer service.

Skills

• Proven experience in a similar role involving shuttle driving.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Experience in bus driving is a plus but not required.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations while ensuring passenger safety.
• A customer service-oriented mindset to enhance the overall travel experience for passengers.
