Shifts are either 6:00am-6:00pm or 6:00pm-6:00am
2-week rotating schedule: 1st week 36 hours (3-12 hour shifts) & 2nd week 48 hours (4-12 hours shifts)
Every other weekend off

A Brief Overview
Responsible to provide security for patients, employees, and visitors; protects hospital buildings, assesses, and premises as assigned. Also provides traffic control and maintains parking lots and structures.
What you will do
- Patrol hospital buildings and premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and intruders.
- Monitor conduct of visitors on hospital premises. Confront unauthorized persons for questioning as needed.
- Report safety and/or fire hazards or security violations.
- Respond to inquiries for advice or assistance from hospital personnel, students, and visitors. Provide restraints for psychiatric patients as needed. Escort personnel to parking lots and hospital buildings as requested.
- Participate in investigations; Maintain records and prepare incident reports and other documents pertinent to security activities.
- Secure and/or unlock offices and facilities as required. May secure patient valuables or lost and found articles. Maintains log of items received.
- Control parking and traffic flow. Enforce parking regulations.
- Respond to all emergency codes and security requests (i.e. Staff Assist, Security Alert, Fire alarms). Respond to CARE Flight operations as needed.
- Mentors security interns in the role of security. Serves as a liaison to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Drivers License - Licensing Board
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- High School or GED Equivalent
- Less than 1 year
